WHAT IS CSR ?
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is defined by the European Commission as the voluntary integration by companies of social and environmental concerns into their business activities and their relations with stakeholders.
In other words, CSR is the contribution of companies to sustainable development issues. A company that practices CSR will therefore seek to have a positive impact on society while being economically viable.
CSR has seven central themes :
- The governance of the organization
- Human rights
- Workplace relations and conditions
- the environment
- Fair practices
- Consumer issues
- Communities and local development
WHY THE CSR APPROACH FOR TECHNIMA AND ITS SUBSIDIARIES ?
In an increasingly competitive world, we must always be the market leader. CSR is a corporate issue that will help us improve our performance, generate a positive impact, spend less, build a strong brand and encourage innovation.
To justify and objectively measure these changes and positive environmental impacts, Technima has chosen the EcoVadis label, the first CSR label in Europe.
ITAL GETE and OLERON STP have been awarded the gold and bronze medals respectively in 2021, while Technima France has been awarded the gold medal in 2022.
ITAL GETE and Technima France are therefore among the top 5% of companies awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal, which is a recognition of the TECHNIMA Group's already historically strong commitment to CSR.
The Technima group is committed to a CSR policy based on :
- On the carbon footprint (tool to be more responsible).
- Product life cycle analysis (to reduce the impact of our products down to the waste level)
- On the EcoVadis evaluation and improvement proposals
This policy will lead us to implement targeted actions to which all Technima employees will contribute because CSR is above all a company project.
